The first Mexican baseball team is known as the All Stars, which was established in 1935. The teams were organized during the summer to play inter city with Lincoln, Nebraska. The teams were coached by Joe Ramirez and Mars Gonzales. Some of the players were from Mexico and others were from Omaha. Most of the players worked in the packing houses. Some of the players were: Leo Barajas, Joe Carrillo, Joe Cisneros, John Gomez, Mars Gonzales, Paul Hernandez, Frank Salazar, Jess Salazar and Manuel Sanchez.

Mexican Softball Tournaments (fast pitch) was founded in Omaha, on Sunday, September 1955. Four teams were entered and games were held at Upland Park. It was a single elimination tourney. George’s Bar was the tournament champion.
